About Northern Arizona VA Health Care System Flagstaff CBOC

Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, Northern Arizona VA Health Center offers behavioral health services to Veterans. This location provides outpatient mental health and behavioral health services to treat a wide variety of concerns. Those whose primary diagnosis is substance use disorder may need a referral to an alcohol and drug rehab facility.

Clients who have dual diagnosis may receive treatment. Those who have addictions that are able to be managed on an outpatient basis may also receive treatment. Trauma informed care, evidence based treatment approaches, and clinical treatments are provided. Common areas of focus include PTSD and trauma, health and disability challenges, psychosis and mental health challenges, and chemical or process addictions. Those with dual diagnosis may receive mental health treatment and addiction treatment concurrently. Clients who are at risk of harming themselves or someone else may need to be inpatient for stabilization purposes. Medication management is also provided. Treatment is generally covered through VA insurance.
