About North Dakota Adult and Teen Challenge
North Dakota Adult and Teen Challenge is a faith-based residential addiction program based near the Heart River in Mandan, North Dakota. Their treatment runs for 12 months, focusing on spiritual and emotional wellness to overcome addiction.
During the year, they offer four levels of teaching. During recovery, they identify the root causes of addiction and teach tools for coping with difficulties. Renewal helps bring healing for wounds from the past. Restoration shows each person their strengths and talents. The transition stage is about finding a job and housing, as well as managing time and resources.
The final stage of the program is reentry into the local community as sober, contributing members. After completing the program, they have access to counseling, mentoring, and guidance when needed.
Based on what people say, this program is not suitable for everybody, however some people have benefited. While there is a monthly cost for participating in the program, the total amount is subsidized by donations.
