About New Horizons Mental Health Pickerington Counseling
New Horizons is a nonprofit community mental health organization based in Pickerington, Ohio. Support here is provided to clients of all ages. They work in tandem with the Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services and stage agencies.
Specialized staff here are employed to provide personalized addiction treatment services, including initial diagnostic assessments. For many, these will often be followed by a phase of ambulatory detox to help individuals sober up and kick and cravings and uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms.
Some individuals may also engage in medication assisted treatment (MAT) to provide further support in managing physical symptoms. Individual and group counseling sessions are also provided alongside peer support and integrated care.
The medical staff here also regularly check-in and provide follow-up for these services. They routinely assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate to ensure clients’ needs are being suitably met, and can adjust treatment elements as needed.
Individuals with dual-diagnosis and concurrent mental health conditions and disorders are also supported. An interdisciplinary team is on hand to offer varying intensities of care for individuals with particularly severe addiction and mental health issues. A longer term program is also available for just this purpose. It features crisis interventions, diagnostic assessments, group and individual psychotherapy, and crisis care management. Aftercare services and housing support are also offered following this program.
Supported employment and personalized placement services are also an option for individuals with serious and persistent mental health issues.
