About National Youth Advocate Program Care Management Columbus

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is a nonprofit that advocates for disadvantaged youths. This community agency supports children and families so they can thrive in their communities.

They offer individualized service planning that's trauma-informed and strength based. I’m impressed that they have over 60 programs and services. NYAP has been around since the 1970s. One location is in Columbus Ohio.

Outpatient Substance Use Treatment in Columbus

NYAP offers substance abuse treatment as well as dual focused treatment for people with emotional challenges. They provide outpatient substance use treatment beginning with assessments. Their comprehensive services promote recovery and include case management to help people move forward with their lives.

I like that they also provide medical services for their clients because people dealing with addiction can often be underserved in this area. Clients receive laboratory urinalysis as well. One of their most popular resources is individual and group counseling.

Crisis Intervention and Mental Health Services in Ohio

You can also count on NYAP for crisis intervention through their mobile crisis response unit. If you or a loved one is in distress due to emotional overwhelm, trauma, or substance abuse, they can help get you stabilized. They'll work with you and your family to plan the next steps for ongoing recovery and healing.

Their outpatient programs include counseling for all family members. They also offer functional family therapy, also known as FFT. This short-term program focuses on improving relationships between family members. This can include taking steps to mitigate drug use.

Care Management

NYAP’s Care Management program provides protective services for children. They work with county officials to keep families together whenever possible. They do this by reducing risks that can cause stress and conflict within households.

This program uses the least restrictive measures possible to enhance safety and family-focused practices.
