About MHSA Answer House
The Answer House is part of the Middlesex Human Service Agency (MHSA) and provides substance abuse treatment for adult men. They started out in 1977 and are based in Boston, Massachusetts. They offer residential services in the Greater Boston area for men where they can focus on recovery with plenty of privacy and peace.
This service has 28 beds and features a spacious setting for you to have security while getting well. Trained staff will supervise the program and ensure you receive the most benefits so you can thrive as a productive community member.
Answer House isn’t only about abstaining from drugs or alcohol. The team works to help you find gainful employment so you get back on your feet and have the independence needed to create a life without the pitfalls of relapse.
Addiction affects families and can cause strains and relationship problems with loved ones. The clinical staff will work with you to reestablish family and community connections so you have healthy relationships and a supportive network after treatment.
You’ll set and work toward lifelong recovery goals. The staff will help you set appropriate milestones so that you stay engaged in recovery.
This program doesn’t end abruptly without resources. After you complete treatment, they help you transition into secure, stable, sober living homes so you can continue your sobriety and work toward having more independence. You can work and attend community support meetings, like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, to continue your recovery journey and have a support system that encourages your progress.
For those who would like to give back, MHSA partners with the Christ Church Episcopal to provide a soup kitchen that offers grab-and-go meals for local community members in need.
