McLeod Behavioral Health Services provide short term inpatient care for adults with mental health issues or dual diagnosis conditions. The latter is when someone is simultaneously facing both mental issues and substance use disorders (SUD). This 23 bed, state of the art acute inpatient clinic is part of the McLeod Regional Medical Center. They’re located on Cashua Ferry Road in the small town of Darlington in South Carolina.

It is clean, safe and convenient for residential inpatient therapy. Here, you’ll receive 24/7 therapeutic support to help you heal from mental health and co-occurring SUD.
You can expect personalized care from an interdisciplinary team focused on your recovery. These consist of licensed psychiatrists, counselors, nurses and activity. These experts will assess your treatment needs and create a personalized care plan that enables them to deliver quality care. They may offer crisis intervention to help you stabilize if you’re dealing with a severe SUD or mental health crisis. Detox may be part of this program as well.
The main program involves intense individual, couple and family therapy. This helps you address underlying emotions fueling your psychiatric or co-occurring challenges. The program also includes medication management and education to support treatment and improve your overall wellbeing. Most patients stay five to seven days depending on their treatment goal.
