About Lighthouse Youth & Family Services

Lighthouse Youth Services is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. They support young people regardless of what brought them in. One of their programs is called OhioRISE. This is a Medicaid program to help adolescents who have significant behavioral health issues. The goal of this program is to help them succeed in their home, schools and society. They serve individuals in Western Hamilton County.

OhioRISE Centers their treatment around the needs of the youth. This may involve family participation or not. I like that this program wraps all the services that kids and families need into their treatment. To be eligible you have to be under the age of 20 and eligible for Ohio Medicaid. You must also need behavioral health services. Qualifying for treatment could include substance abuse or mental health disorders.

Lighthouse Youth Services also provides foster care and adoption. They provide help for homeless young adults 18 to 24. I like that they offer resources for LBGTQ+ youth. These include housing, referrals and other resources to help these youth thrive.
