About The Lighthouse of Cullman
Located in Cullman, Alabama, Lighthouse Cullman is a nonprofit residential treatment center for men struggling with substance use disorder. They have a 12-bed center that lasts for 90 days. To qualify for their program, each person must be a male who is age 21 or older with the ability to prove their identity through an ID or social security card. There must be a primary diagnosis of addiction that was diagnosed within the last six months. Upon admission, each person must be free of mood altering substances. Admissions is a flat fee of $125 and room and board costs are provided on a sliding scale fee.
The program offers community based treatment that focuses on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Relapse prevention education and recreational trips are provided. Referrals to outside agencies are granted based on individual need, and support gaining employment is provided. The goal of treatment is to support each person in establishing a new, healthy baseline they can take back into their home environment to continue living on a daily basis.
