About Pocahontas House

Pocahontas House is a residential substance use disorder treatment facility for adults in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This center is CARF accredited and holds a license from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

Residential Setting for Recovery

This facility hass the ability to house 11 participants at a time. They have rules for admission, such as you must be at least 21 years old, actively involved in treatment, agree to let them help you manage your money, and agree to stay for 60 days while participating in treatment. You should also participate in job searching or school placement as well as housing placement.

While here, you will go through individual and group counseling, learn financial responsibility, learn life coping skills, and nutrition and HIV education. They also offer support groups and family sessions, if needed.

I like that they provide a holistic approach to your rehabilitation. They want to help you heal your mind, body, and spirit. They believe that through behavioral changes and a caring, comfortable environment, individuals can learn to change and adopt a drug-free lifestyle.

Things To Do in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge is full of sober experiences that I find interesting, such as touring an Old WWII Battleship–The USS Kidd, or maybe catching an LSU football game and afterward touring one of their many museums or zoos. They also have a waterpark and several plantations that you might like to see if you are into history.
