About La Esperanza

La Esperanza Health Counseling Services in Lynnwood, Washington was one of the area’s leading providers of substance abuse and mental health services, but unfortunately this treatment center has now closed.

Specializing in Serving the Latino Community

Their bilingual and bicultural approach and background here made La Esperanza an ideal treatment option for members of the Latino community. In addition to traditional programs, they offered several services for people involved in the criminal justice system.

A big positive of this center for me was its expanded focus on problems common to substance use disorder. They would address things like anger management and spousal abuse as part of your recovery, should you need them.

Extended Intensive Outpatient Programs

Something I found intriguing about this clinic was their IOP options, which would last one or two years. While IOP tends to run quite a while due to its intensive nature, I’ve rarely seen one explicitly say they last a year, let alone two. I think it’s a great thing, though, because all that time spent in recovery means you’re learning and building your recovery and sobriety skills.

Deferred Prosecution Services

A deferred prosecution program allows those charged with a misdemeanor related to drug or alcohol addiction to seek treatment as an alternative to harsher consequences. This was one of the programs they had at La Esperanza.

Other restrictions apply to who qualifies, but these programs would present a golden opportunity for people with addiction who are facing charges to address their addictive behaviors with treatment and get their lives back on track, a powerful thing for sure.

Reshape Your Life in Lynnwood

The natural beauty of Lynnwood presents an excellent place to work toward recovery. The cliff lined Pacific coast and the stunning Cascade Mountains have inspired many people to take control of their lives, so why not make them part of your recovery journey too? At the very least, they’re excellent spots of outdoor recreation, a solid practice for relapse prevention.
