About Ketchikan Indian Community
Ketchikan Indian Community Behavioral Health (KIC Behavioral Health) is part of the Tribal Health Clinic in southeast Alaska, offering mental health crisis screening and intervention, behavioral therapies, outpatient addiction treatment, and psychological evaluation and testing.
KIC Behavioral Health’s substance use disorder treatment supports southeast Alaskan Natives to recover from addiction. The program includes individual counseling, skills training, and a strengthening connection to native culture. Staff counselors at KIC have a bachelor's degree or higher and have the experience to successfully treat addiction and co-occurring disorders using modalities like CBT, DBT, and culturally responsive approaches. KIC also provides case management and referral services to inpatient treatment centers for higher acuity patients.
Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare are accepted.
