About Jericho Project

Jericho Project is a long-term recovery program in Brisbane, California. They provide a highly structured, intensive living space for adult men in the criminal justice system battling addiction. You’ll benefit from residential care, outpatient treatment and aftercare. They don’t accept insurance but they provide convenient payment plans. You may also be eligible for a scholarship if you can't afford tuition.

Their unique one-year program separates treatment into multiple phases to foster growth, inner work, and recovery. Each phase supports you in different stages of your journey and helps you work on essential life aspects. You’ll benefit from treatment best practices including group sessions, holistic physical therapy, motivational therapy, relapse prevention, affective therapy and more.

One standout feature I noticed was their academic and career services. Helping you with educational and vocational skills is foundational in their program. You’ll participate in comprehensive courses focused on ESL and GED testing and achieving your high school diploma. You can also gain job skills and certifications including warehousing, construction, personal training, fire science and prevention and commercial driving.

Their distinctive approach to holistic healing really caught my attention. They aren’t a faith-based program but encourage spiritual growth through altruism. Along with personal development, you’ll foster growth by contributing to your peers in helpful ways. They motivate you to help newcomers feel welcome in the recovery community. In return you nurture your sense of well-being by demonstrating your strength in recovery.

Their ranch is definitely worth a mention. Situated on a 1200-acre cattle ranch in rural Shasta County, this program offers a space for healing, recovery and career development. You’ll benefit from animal-assisted therapy to build vital coping and life skills while gaining expertise in the ranching and agricultural industries.
