About Higher Ground Recovery Center

The Higher Ground Recovery Center is located in Springfield, Missouri. Adult men and women are able to receive intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment. I like that you are able to receive evidence based treatment from a faith based perspective. If eligible, you may be able to receive Missouri RSS funding. This funding may be able to cover either partial or full treatment but it is based on availability and limited per person.

The outpatient program offers substance use Biblically based treatment. Before treatment, you will have an assessment for substance use disorder. I like that they will keep you accountable for your sobriety by drug testing. Counseling will be provided in a group and individual setting.

They offer an array of Bible-based education classes. Some of the classes offered are basic addiction education, relapse prevention, the disease concept, co-occurring disorder and codependency. You will also be able to attend Bible study.

What stands you about the program is the recovery housing. It stands out because you determine the length of how long you will stay. Housing is available for both men and women. I also like that they provide recovery support. Recovery support is provided in the form of care coordination, recovering and spiritual counseling, as well as church services that are recovery oriented.
