About Heartland Counseling and Consulting Clinic
Heartland Counseling and Consulting Clinic in North Platte, Nebraska is one of a few CARF-accredited Region II Human Services-owned locations in the state. This particular clinic provides mental and behavioral health services to individuals and families of all ages. They’re state-funded and work with private agencies to provide services at a sliding scale fee. They accept Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance options. Services may be offered free or discounted to those eligible.
Whether individuals are in need of guidance, treatment and resources, or simply a listening ear — the team is here to help. Since services are in high demand, this clinic offers special Open Access hours for substance use disorder (SUD) evaluations that’s available on a first-come-first-serve basis. These tend to take around 2.5 hours. While clients can be evaluated by appointment, given the high demand, the Open Open Access schedule may speed up waiting times.
Among their many treatment offerings clients can access outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services. Their addiction-specific services include individual, group and family counseling and needs assessments via their urgent outpatient program. Clients may also receive medication management services whether they attend counseling sessions or not though combining the two is recommended.
They also provide a specialized initiative known as the Arm in Arm program. Designed especially for pregnant or parenting women with SUD, it provides treatment and education as well as access to childcare and medical services. Each woman is treated per her individual needs and goals and given access to resources to improve their quality of life and strengthen her ability to cope independently without falling back on addictive substances.
