About Heartland Center for Behavioral Change Independence Outpatient Clinic

Located in Reeds Spring, Missouri, Heartland Center for Behavioral Change provides outpatient addiction treatment services for men and women. The facility also provides specialized services for individuals who are placed in the Stone County DWI Court Program. For payment of services, I like that they offer a sliding fee scale for those who qualify for financial assistance.

Addiction Treatment for Your Needs

The facility will perform an assessment, provide a diagnosis, and plan a treatment for you. Your outpatient substance use treatment will likely include community support, medication treatment, and individual and group counseling.

In counseling, you’ll develop coping skills and learn how to regulate your emotions. A counselor can also help you to change the negative thoughts or beliefs that may be hindering your recovery. They may even assist you in processing trauma that could be the cause of your addiction.

State Programs for DUI Traffic Offenses

Heartland Center for Behavioral Change offers Substance Awareness Traffic Offender Program services for clients who’ve had DUI offenses. SATOP is required for individuals who’ve had their license revoked or suspended due to a DWI or a DUI.

SATOP is also required for individuals charged with zero tolerance offenses or Minor in Possession. The program has various service levels, and the one that I noticed HCBC provides is the serious and repeat offender program.

It consists of at least 75 hours of outpatient treatment in no less than 90 days. A minimum of 35 hours need to be spent in counseling. When you’ve successfully completed the program, a completion program is sent to the Department of Revenue, and if all other requirements have been met, your license can be reinstated.
