About Salvation Army Cleveland Harbor Light Complex
Many people don't know that the Salvation Army helps people recover from addiction. In Cleveland, Ohio they have a Harbor Light Center that promotes emotional spiritual and physical healing. I love that their programming is always free. You will not pay for anything.
Harbor Light centers focus on grassroots outreach to homeless populations. Often the first step for homeless addicts is restoring their health. Once they are stable, the Salvation Army will help them build work and social skills. Individual and group counseling sessions will help folks let go of their reliance on substances.
The Salvation Army believes that with patience, prayer and counseling you can get on the path to freedom. Once a person has been rehabilitated they often are able to reunite with family. Restoring family relationships is an important goal. The same is true with being able to start healthy daily routines. They also offer a detox unit and intensive outpatient program.
