About Great Lakes Adult & Teen Challenge

Great Lakes Adult & Teen Challenge is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They provide compassionate care to adults who are struggling with behavioral health and substance use disorders. Operating as a Christian based nonprofit, there’s no fee to receive services here.

This organization takes a faith based approach to recovery. You’ll work with a dedicated team of staff members who will take the time to help you recognize your struggles. In intentional counseling and wrap-around support, they’ll take the time to help guide you through a journey toward recovery.

The support offered here is woven into the teaching of the Christian faith. With this faith based recovery approach, you’ll practice building your sense of self respect. You’ll learn essential skills like how to forgive yourself and how to implement habits that will shape your life for the better.

You’ll be supported by a community that is vested in your recovery. Through fellowship and individual and group counseling, this supportive community is one you can lean on during the challengings times of your recovery program.

You’ll also have access to 12 Step programs like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. These programs will connect you with others who are facing similar struggles. This will empower you to feel like you are not alone as you move through your recovery process.
