About Focus 12 Halfway House

Focus XII was a halfway house operated by Central Minnesota Health Center in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. They’re permanently closed now but they exclusively served men 18 and older who were transitioning out of a treatment plan. This was a structured and supervised living environment where residents received 15 hours of treatment each week.

A halfway house (also known as a transitional living home) is a bridge between treatment and your return to fully independent living. The house is typically less intensive and restrictive than higher levels of care. Focus XII encouraged involvement in the 12 step model through NA or AA groups. They utilized rational emotive behavior, cognitive behavioral therapy and personal resilience therapy in their own treatment model.

Focus XII had staff on hand 24 hours a day, so if there was a need for help, someone was there. I like this because even though sober living houses promote independence, the residents are still in recovery. It makes sense that they would need professional help from time to time.

This location is closed, but other facilities can be found nearby.

Outpatient Rehab

You’ll live at home while attending just a few hours of counseling sessions per week and receive ongoing support through a program such as AA or NA. This will continue for as long as you need this level of accountability.

Aftercare & Alumni Program

For months or years after achieving initial sobriety, aftercare rehab in Minnesota gives you access to resources that help you maintain sobriety after treatment. You can receive support through 12-step groups, ongoing counseling, and financial coaching.

You’ll reside with others in recovery, adhering to house rules such as curfew and a no-drug policy. As you work or go to school and contribute to household responsibilities, you’ll learn to live a drug-free life.
