About Eagle Ridge Institute

Eagle Ridge Institute was a substance use and mental health disorder treatment facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services were available in offices, schools and homes, which made it easier for clients to get support that fit their schedules. Programs were structured to address both substance use and co occurring mental health needs through assessments, therapy and rehabilitation services. Unfortunately, I found that this facility is now closed.

Supporting Moms and Their Children

I like that their Family Treatment Center offered long term residential care services for women aged 18 and over who were pregnant or postpartum and seeking treatment with their children or working to reunify with them. Women attended 12-step meetings, participated in psychoeducational groups and received counseling and case management services.

Prevention Programs for Youth and Adults

SAMHSA funded their prevention program which aimed to help youth and adults avoid the temptations of alcohol, tobacco and other substances. This program worked closely with local community schools and organizations to address prescription drug misuse.

Building Skills in Outpatient Care

Outpatient programs here were available for folks of all ages, and included screenings and full assessments to determine the most appropriate level of care. Clients learned to build daily living skills and improve functioning in the community. Case managers helped with referrals, advocacy and support.
