About The Recovery Center
The Recovery Center is a CARF accredited, comprehensive addiction recovery center in Oklahoma City serving adults seeking to begin recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.
TRC combines medically supervised detox, medication assisted treatment, intensive outpatient care and counseling, family education and case management under one roof.
For nearly four decades, I appreciate how the center has offered compassionate and recovery oriented care that meets people at the earliest and often hardest stage of getting sober.
Medically Supervised Detox
TRC's core specialty is its seven day medical detox program, featuring 24/7 medical supervision, nursing assessment and withdrawal symptom medication management.
The program treats adults facing dependence on alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines and stimulants, including methamphetamine, within a comfortable and private setting.
Detox begins with a structured admissions process and individualized nursing assessment, followed by emotional support, coping skills development and relapse prevention work.
Every patient is paired with a dedicated case manager to coordinate next steps, so care continues beyond discharge.
Former patients describe TRC as safe, compassionate and life changing, with some reporting years of lasting recovery.
Medication Assisted Treatment
Beyond detox, I want to note that TRC offers medication assisted treatment, using Suboxone for opioid addiction and naltrexone for alcohol addiction.
Its intensive outpatient program includes evening group sessions plus weekly individual therapy, ideal for those stepping down from detox or needing structured support while living at home.
The trauma informed, faith based approach also addresses grief and anger management, stress and relationship repair.
Access and Next Steps
TRC provides in person detox and outpatient care at its Oklahoma City location, with outpatient hours Monday through Friday. CARF first accredited the organization in 2005 and it now maintains five accredited adult program areas.
The center accepts private pay, Medicaid and many major insurance plans, with state funded care and sliding scale options for those who qualify.
Amenities
Private drug rehab provides a comfortable, secure environment that allows you to focus on doing the work to get your life back on track. Benefits include a higher staff-to-client ratio, increased one-on-one time with therapists and healthcare providers, private rooms for clients, and customized forms of therapy.
Recreational therapy uniquely combines therapeutic interventions with an activity, like horse-riding, hiking, wilderness therapy, basketball, tennis, or a full workout. Benefits of recreational therapy include providing a healthy way to work through the emotions of recovery, learning to build and maintain relationships, improving communication skills, and building self-esteem.
Yoga and meditation are great activities to support your recovery process during alcohol or drug rehab. These therapies have been around for centuries, and they are an effective way to improve well-being. Combining addiction treatment, yoga, and meditation can reduce cravings, improve sleep, relieve anxiety and depression, provide stress relief, promote relaxation, support emotional healing, and improve energy levels.
In order to maintain a sense of autonomy, many private rehab facilities offer clients the ability to choose their own private rooms. The privacy and personal space ensure that the recovery process is as comfortable as possible.
