About Concordance Academy St Louis Center
Concordance is a nonprofit mental health and addiction treatment program in Saint Louis, Missouri. Their program is uniquely designed to help adults exit the prison system and prevent reincarceration through therapy and support. Treatment begins during incarceration before moving to an intensive outpatient setting.
Concordance utilizes a holistic and evidence based model. Their ultimate goal is to reduce recidivism rates by helping those in treatment address underlying problems that may lead to reoffending, including substance use. Their five phase program connects you with supporting individuals from different backgrounds to better serve all of your needs.
Concordance's healing first re entry model seeks to reduce reincarceration rates by treating the underlying causes and traumas related to addiction and behavioral health concerns. Therapy begins before your release, introducing you to the basics of the program and what you can expect from future phases.
Later on, following intensive treatment, the focus grows to include job skills development and employment preparation. By the time you exit the program, you'll have a full time job, backed by staff support. The program's approach has demonstrated that dedication to treatment and job training can significantly reduce the chances of reoffending and help participants lead self sufficient lives.
What makes all of this so special is that you're provided support for every aspect of the program. You'll receive case management to help you throughout. You can connect with peer support to share experiences and give and receive help from others like you.
A career coach will be in your corner to help you throughout the job training and hunting process. You can even work with a chaplain for spiritual support. Concordance's program believes that healing should extend beyond targeting symptoms, and you see that in action during every step of their program.
