About Comprehensive Wellness Centers
Comprehensive Wellness Centers is a CARF-accredited mental health and drug addiction treatment facility in Lantana, Florida. They have separate specialty tracks for both mental health and substance use. They accept most insurance plans and their staff can help you get a sense of your coverage. Their substance use disorder (SUD) treatment programs range from detox and residential to partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). They also offer dual diagnosis programs.
If you need to detox then you can do that at Comprehensive Wellness Centers. While you withdraw from substances you'll be given FDA-approved medications to help you avoid complications. These medications will also ease your symptoms during detox.
I like that their administrative building is separate from the residences. The SUD treatment residence is a two-story apartment-style building that looks like a motel from the outside. Residents get a semi-private living space with a separate bedroom and living room. There is a fitness room as well as indoor and outdoor lounge areas including a pool table.
Your treatment will include counseling, behavioral therapy, group activities and other therapeutic exercises.
Their mental health treatment offers inpatient and outpatient levels of care. They also offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) as part of their trauma program and even transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy for chronic and persistent depression.
Their partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs for substance abuse allow you to live at home while receiving treatment. The main difference between these two programs is the number of hours you attend treatment each week. In both, you'll have a blend of individual and group counseling sessions.
At any level of treatment you can also get MAT. Common medications used in MAT are Vivitrol, buprenorphine, Subutex and Sublocade. Your provider will discuss the options with you to find the right fit.
