About Compass Recovery Center

Compass Recovery Center is located in Lafayette, Louisiana, inside the Ochsner University Hospital & Clinics. This is an inpatient facility that offers services to men and women who need support to start their recovery from substance use disorders. They also offer integrated mental health care. You’ll also find detox services here. There are mental health programs for children as well.

Through hospital based detoxification, you’ll be supported by a medical team that will ensure your recovery happens safely and in a supportive environment. You’ll be monitored round the clock by a medical team that will help you manage your withdrawal symptoms. Detoxification is available if you have a dependency on alcohol, opioids or benzodiazepines. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided to help you manage cravings.

The treatment program also consists of substance abuse recovery support offered through Compass Recovery Center’s integrative care team. This team will also help you manage a co-occurring mental health struggle you might be facing. You’ll work with physicians, psychiatrists, registered nurses, addiction counselors, mental health professionals and other support staff through an individualized treatment program.

Through support like individual and group counseling, you’ll learn critical recovery skills. This may include understanding how to manage triggers that may lead to relapse. You’ll also learn coping skills and strategies that will help you build healthy habits for success.

You’ll also be supported through community services like 12 Step programs. Through these programs including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, you’ll have a network of peers and mentors that you can turn to. This serves as a pillar of support when you experience difficult parts in your recovery.
