About Community Counseling Center Ashtabula
Located in Ashtabula, Ohio is the Community Counseling Center Ashtabula. This is a community care facility that provides a range of services to adults, adolescents, and their families. There’s also a veterans program. They have a dedicated substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program. Care is offered in an outpatient setting.
Here, you'll work with a multidisciplinary team of medical and mental health professionals who will help you get the care you need. They accept most commercial insurance policies.
The SUD treatment program is designed to serve individuals who are struggling with addictions to drugs, alcohol, opioids and other substances. There are designated programs for adolescents aged 12 to 18 and adults. The programs are rooted in evidence based practices.
You'll work one-on-one with their experienced addiction counselors. These counselors will help you navigate the complexities that have contributed to your substance use struggles. You learn how to identify triggers that have resulted in substance use. You'll also learn different strategies and techniques that you can use to help combat thoughts of drug use when they arise.
Other supports you'll have access to here include medication assisted treatment (MAT). This is a type of treatment that uses FDA approved medications like methadone and Suboxone. These medications can help you manage ongoing cravings. Most importantly, they can significantly reduce your risk of relapse, especially when used alongside counseling.
There's also family therapy offered here as well. You can also get connected to community support like 12-style programs. If you need more intensive support then you can get referred to an inpatient or residential treatment program. You'll also have access to recovery housing and crisis intervention as well.
