About Community Assessment and Treatment Services Outpatient
Community Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS) provides substance use care for adults 18 and older. You’ll find ‘em located out in a semi-suburban corner of Cleveland, Ohio. This location offers outpatient treatment, but the team can refer those needing higher-level care to their residential service.
Your recovery starts with a thorough assessment to determine your unique recovery needs. You will have a diagnosis and suggestions for treatment. All guests submit to drug testing before starting treatment.
Outpatient treatment allows guests to remain in their homes and get the care needed while continuing with work or school. The goal is to help guests learn the skills necessary to recover and prevent relapse. Their program is also designed to reduce reincarceration rates by providing the resources and methods for a sober lifestyle. The trauma-informed care used can address past events and help guests move past them to help overcome substance use.
Case management is available to help guide you through the program for the most benefit. Care managers can connect you to outside agencies or resources for ongoing recovery efforts. They may assist with housing, healthcare, and transportation services, along with finding local AA or NA meetings.
CATS can refer guests to safe, sober housing once they have completed treatment. Residents will have a structured living arrangement and continued substance addiction care. They can attend 12 Step meetings, obtain employment assistance, and enjoy sober activities in the community, like unwinding in Barkwill Park or the Cleveland Velodrome. They provide rental assistance for guests who are not employed.
They also provide several community programs to help kids and vulnerable groups find healthier means to cope that don’t involve drugs. They have nutrition programs and cooking demos, a reading center for kids, and they sponsor film showings.
They work with numerous payers and receive local and state grants, so many people qualify for treatment without paying. They also accept private pay arrangements.
