About Columbia Regional Care Center
Columbia Regional Care Center is located in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a recovery facility that provides a range of services to men and women who are facing struggles with their behavioral health. There are treatments here if you have a mental health condition or are experiencing an underlying forensic symptom. Care is offered in a residential treatment setting.
You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. This may include psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health counselors, and drug and addiction therapists. There are initial evaluations and screenings that will determine what your unique mental health struggles are and whether you have underlying substance use struggles as well. An individualized treatment plan will be created for you.
The recovery program is structured and designed to help you establish and practice healthy habits. Individual and group counseling will help you get to the heart of your mental and forensic conditions. You’ll learn how to identify triggers and how to manage negative thoughts and emotions that might lead to drug use. Medication management may be included in your treatment if your circumstances require it. You’ll also have access to spiritual services for a faith based approach to care.
There are also supportive therapies that will help you build critical life skills. For example, you’ll have access to education classes including GED prep, computer technology classes, and reading and math development. Building these skills can improve your chances of sustainable sobriety and mental wellness when you complete the program.
