East House Cody House in Rochester, New York, provides housing and other necessary services for people recovering from a mental health disorder, including substance use. They have various housing options to suit the needs of clients at all stages of recovery. Cody House is one of several of their housing options.

Their community residences are home-like group spaces that are staffed around the clock. East House runs six of these throughout the area. Here, you’ll have support through community activities with your peers as well as medication management. The focus of these residences is to build a supportive community to promote your healing. Staff will also help you plan and get ready for the next stage of your recovery.

If you’re ready for independent living, they offer temporary apartments that are one-bedroom units located throughout Monroe County. East House offers financial case managers and recovery support staff that can help you find and keep an apartment. They’ll work with you to create a financial wellness plan to get out of debt and build credit. They can help you with food stamps and disability benefits and teach you money management skills. If you need it, they can give you referrals to financial wellness community partners.
