About Caair Inc

Christian Alcoholics and Addicts in Recovery (CAAIR) is a faith based residential treatment program for men affected by substance misuse in Jay, Oklahoma. CAAIR is all about giving men struggling with substance use a second chance in life. They offer a safe space where you can learn to make better choices and become a supportive family member, reliable employee and productive community member. They believe this is achievable if you desire to change from your old ways and have strong faith in God.

Jay is a small, tight-knit rural community in Delaware County. It has a serene countryside appeal that makes it a great spot for residential care. Natural features like Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees provide opportunities for fishing, hiking or nature walks. It is also within driving distance from Tulsa and other large towns in Oklahoma. This allows for a balance between seclusion and convenience.

The facility provides long term residential care grounded in the 12 step practice. One of the core attractions of this program is that it enables you to focus on your recovery in a home like setting free from outside distractions or even temptation. Another great feature is that you don’t have to pay for the program upfront. The money you earn in participating in their compulsory work program is automatically used to fund your treatment and general necessities. This includes food, housing and medical care.

Their treatment approach involves individual and group therapy focused on recovery life skills development. You’re normally assigned a small group upon arrival and required to attend weekly sessions. The sessions may cover relapse prevention, anger management, coping skills and self care.

You’ll also attend addiction education classes regularly to learn more about substance use and strategies for maintaining sobriety. Spiritual development is a core component of this program. You’ll attend Bible studies, prayer meetings and Sunday worship. This helps you connect to a higher power to seek peace and comfort in recovery.

Ninety days prior to graduation, you’ll work with a counselor to create a detailed relapse prevention plan. You’ll also attend the "Life After CAAIR" class to improve your chances of lasting sobriety upon completing the program. They may offer additional services that support lasting recovery as well. This may include vocational training, referral to community 12 step meetings like AA/NA and case management. Case management involves connection to community resources like safe housing, medical care and more.
