About CDC Mental Health Services

CDC Behavioral Health Services, located in Middletown, Ohio, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children, families, and adults dealing with mental illness or substance abuse use. Established in 1923, CDC Behavioral Health was the first mental health non-profit organization in the state of Ohio.

Promoting Healing Through Family

One specialty program I noticed is The Family Healing Center, which serves children and families in Butler and Clermont counties through trauma-focused therapy. That way, you can build skills to improve your relationship and bring your family back together.

The Family Healing Center is certified in trauma informed and responsive care. This allows all staff to better address the relationship between the neurobiological effects of trauma and its impact on children, families, and the community. In addition, they’re trained in hands-on interventions to assist in healing the damage done from trauma.

Overall Successful Rates

Clients that received clinical care with adult services through CDC Behavioral Health improved their overall functioning after 12 months of treatment. According to client satisfaction, 97% of clients report that they’re well pleased with the staff. Ninety-eight percent of clients approved of how well staff members respected their background.

Nearby Serene Attraction

Smith Park in Middletown is a charming green space within walking distance from CDC Behavioral Health. I’m impressed at how it offers a serene retreat featuring seven acres of fishing pond with floating dock, multi-use trail, picnic tables and shelters, a skate park, and “the born learning trail” for children 0-6 years so they can get a head start in developing learning skills. Smith Park is known to provide a calming environment conducive to healing.
