About St Cloud Hospital Claras House
As a part of St. Cloud Hospital's medical system, Clara’s House is an outpatient treatment program for kids aged five through 18. This is a specialized mental health treatment program that is in a partial hospitalization setting. Kids with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric issues including addiction problems can receive treatment here. Kids are divided into three age groups: ages five through nine, ages 10 through 14 and 15 through 18. The program runs daily from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Clara’s House also offers parenting support groups.
While enrolled in Clara’s House your child will engage in psychiatric support, psychotherapy groups, and recreational therapy. During therapy sessions, kids will concentrate on learning mindfulness, coping skills, communication skills, and anger management skills.
Your kid will meet with a psychiatrist twice per week for ongoing medication management. They’ll meet with a counselor weekly for family therapy. While your child attends Clara’s House they’ll receive education from St. Cloud School District 742. They’ll participate in two hours of classroom time each day during the school year. Transportation to and from Clara’s House can be arranged with the school district as well.
A free caregiver support meeting is offered virtually twice per week for people who have children attending Clara’s House. You’re expected to attend at least one parenting group per week. These groups will help you grow in your own interpersonal skills and receive support from other parents.
A parent of a former client said that the staff is caring and the facility is accessible. Another parent said the staff excels in communication and care.
