The free 6-12 month program helps those in recovery find good jobs while maintaining recovery and includes peer support, job readiness, and placement services. Pittsburgh Mercy

Pittsburgh Mercy offers an enormous range of services, including behavioral health and addiction treatment for all ages, primary medical care, STD/Hep C testing, wound care, treatment court programs, and DUI classes. They also have a robust homeless outreach and broad housing services, including emergency housing that accepts pet dogs and cats. The Pittsburgh Mercy Drop-In Center provides coffee, snacks, computer access, grab-and-go lunches, hygiene kits, laundry, showers, mail, and wifi, along with help connecting to housing resources and social services.

The Berks Counseling Center in Reading offers crisis support, primary medical care, re-entry and recovery support for the justice-involved, behavioral health and substance use treatment for adults and youth, and case management. The Center also has peer & recovery support, wellness programs, connections to housing services, and veterans services.
Unity Recovery

Unity Recovery serves Philadelphia and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. They offer free non-clinical peer based recovery support for individuals with alcohol or substance use disorder at their community centers. Services are also available via video, phone and chat and in person in the community. Additionally, they also provide harm reduction services such as naloxone distribution.
Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC)

The Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community is a program of Penn State Student Affairs. They provide ongoing support for students and alumni who are in recovery from alcohol or other substance use disorders. These services include academic and student conduct advocacy, social activities and affiliations with student organizations that are dedicated to recovery support.

The Association of Recovery in Higher Education is an organization that recognizes that students in recovery face unique challenges as they work toward long-term recovery while pursuing their higher education. In addition to providing recovery support and resources, they work with collegiate providers to improve recovery and harm reduction on their campuses.
Saint Joseph’s University

Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia is the first university in the region to provide residential living options for those in active recovery while helping them maintain their academic life. The Recovery Residence at Hogan Hall has an on-site program manager and includes counseling and case management services to enhance the health and wellness of students in recovery.

The Community College of Philadelphia’s Office of Collegiate Recovery helps students meet their recovery goals. They offer mentoring and campus recovery support groups as well as substance free activities and personalized coordination of services at the College. They also work with other student life programs to offer each student the full support they need.
PFLAG Pennsylvania
PFLAG of greater Harrisburg is a non-profit organization that is devoted to supporting, advocating for and educating people in the LGBTQ+ community and their families. They offer peer support groups both in person and virtually and can connect people in crisis with immediate crisis intervention.

Trans Lifeline is a non-profit organization that connects trans people with resources within their community that provide the support they need to survive and thrive. Their programs are confidential and users can remain anonymous. These services range from providing peer support to harm reduction programs.
GLO

GLO in Harrisburg is a community resource center for LGBTQ+ and trans people of color, focusing on LGTBQ+ men of color and trans women of color. They offer services including HIV/STI testing, case management, mental health care, a food and hygiene pantry, free laundry facilities, emergency housing funds and many social and educational programs.

Call Blackline provides an anonymous and confidential space for counseling, peer support, and reporting of negative experiences for Black people. They offer an avenue to report negative, physical and inappropriate contact with the police and vigilante community through a Black, LGBTQ+ and Black Femme lens. They can answer questions and assist callers with taking the next step in response to these traumatic events.

Modern Military Association of America is an organization that seeks to protect and expand the rights of LGBTQ+ members of the military and veterans. Through education, support networks, advocacy and discrimination tracking they envision a military that provides an inclusive and equitable environment for all service members, veterans, and their families.
Veterans Crisis Line

Veterans Crisis Line is a part of the national 988 crisis line program. This program allows military members or veterans to call and speak confidentially with a qualified responder 24/7 if they are experiencing an emotional or mental health crisis. You don’t need VA benefits to call and the caring counselors understand the unique needs of the military community.
Council of Three Rivers

Council of Three Rivers in Pittsburgh provides a variety of resources for the Native American community, including participating in PA 2-1-1 Southwest, which is a part of the national 2-1-1 call center initiative. This program connects callers with local programs that meet everyday needs from food and childcare to mental health and substance use treatment.

Blackburn Center in Greensburg is an organization that provides services for victims of domestic and sexual abuse. All of their services are free of charge and range from providing a 24 hour hotline for those in crisis, emergency shelter, support groups, counseling and therapy to legal support and education about what abuse looks like — it’s not always obvious, especially at first.
