I noticed that some of the staff members who’ll work with you are the addiction medicine unit social worker, the intake nurse, and the patient care manager.
One of the medications that may be administered to you is methadone. Methadone can help you by relieving your drug cravings and eliminating your withdrawal symptoms. The social worker who works with you will be generally responsible for providing you with assessments, treatment plans and case management services. They can help you get access to resources that can support you in your recovery, such as health services and other community resources available.
A peer recovery coach will be at the facility to provide you with support and after care planning. Peer recovery coaches have training in assisting clients with substance use disorder and can share their experiences with you about overcoming addiction.
