About Bowen Center Auburn
Bowen Health in Auburn, Indiana is an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment center that supports individuals of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. In terms of payment, Bowen offers financial assistance, good faith estimates, and charity care to those eligible. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
Straight off the bat, I love how accessible this center is. Their services are inclusive and their payment options are generous. Even better, they’ve recently rolled out telehealth and online therapy services for those unable to make regular in-person appointments and sessions. This is excellent news for those with limited mobility or trouble leaving the house.
They offer treatment and services for a range of addictions including opioid, alcohol and smoking as well as compulsive gambling, sex addiction and eating disorders. Detox is provided here to help individuals get clean before beginning their treatment program.
Following this, they may move on to intensive outpatient, or IOP, services. This may involve medication assisted treatment (MAT), life skills coaching, therapy, and further mental health care services. A specialized program for teens is also available and involves family education support as well as individual and group counseling. Their MAT program can help reduce the physical pain of withdrawal, minimize cravings, and lower the risk of relapse.
Some clients bemoan poor communication, late or canceled appointments with little notice, as well as waiting times and general difficulty even managing to get an appointment at all. With this in mind, I would encourage anyone considering care here to do their own thorough research before committing.
