About BHN Valley Human Services

Located in a quiet corner of Ware, Massachusetts, is BHN Valley Human Services. This is an organization that provides supportive outpatient care to adolescents, adults, and families who need counseling support to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Along with care to treat substance use struggles, they also address intellectual or developmental disabilities.

BHN’s Dual Diagnosis Counseling

The BHN Network is vast, offering a continuum of services to help you on your path to health and wellness. At their Ware office, they offer outpatient care. Their counseling services will support you with a range of challenges including substance use and mental health struggles. They can also connect you to more robust support if you need it.

As you navigate substance use recovery, you may also have co-occurring mental health challenges that complicate recovery. You’ll get to work with experienced counselors who will help you get to the root cause of those conditions and will equip you with recovery skills.

Standing Against Domestic Violence

One aspect of the services in Ware that I value is their domestic violence support. If you’re a victim of domestic violence, including violence brought on by a loved one’s substance use struggles, there is trauma informed and compassionate care here.

I also find their anonymous support services to be incredibly helpful for people who want support but are not sure how or where to start. This is also a helpful resource for victims who are fearful of seeking support.

Their domestic violence advocacy also stands out to me because it is comprehensive. You’ll get connected to different resources in your community. They can help you apply for housing and get referred to mental health services. I especially appreciate how these domestic violence services are offered free of charge.
