Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (NCMHID) is a dual diagnosis drug rehab center for adults, children, and families. Offering behavioral healthcare, outpatient programs, counseling, crisis support, case management, training, housing support services, suicide prevention, jail diversion, mobile crisis teams, children’s mental health support, employment assistance, and psychiatric care.

The Pathways Center location offers crisis respite and stabilization services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to adults over the age of 18 in Nueces County. With 16 beds available at Pathways House, staff focuses on providing individuals inpatient care, medication management, stabilization, suicide risk assessment, case management, and support to transition back into the community following treatment. Residents also receive skills training, support in accessing resources, symptom management, and support to meet their recovery needs on a daily basis. Therapies may include cognitive behavioral therapy, assertive community treatment, and individual and group therapy. Services are accessed via the crisis center or a direct referral.

The Nueces Center for Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities was certified by the Health and Human Services Commission as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Medicaid, Medicare, most commercial insurance plans, and self pay accepted. However, many services are available on a sliding scale basis. No one will be turned away due to an inability to pay or lack of insurance.
