About The Council on Alcohol + Drug Abuse – Coastal Bend

Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse -- Coastal Bend (COADA) is a substance abuse recovery facility in Corpus Christi, Texas, just west of Cole Park near the shore. Their approach to drug and alcohol addiction treatment includes extensive education and prevention services delivered in various locations in the communities they serve. They serve adult and youth clients with comprehensive outpatient care and free ongoing aftercare support. Services they offer include outpatient treatment, individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, case management services, veteran's services, specialized care for pregnant and postpartum women, and peer coaching services. Clients also have access to other events hosted by COADA. Treatment plans are individualized to meet the needs of clients.

COADA specializes in aftercare planning and support. Aftercare includes individual, group, and family therapy as needed and continuing case management and peer support services. Aftercare services are free of cost. COADA prioritizes admitting pregnant clients, those using intervenous drugs, and clients referred by the Department of Family and Protective Services.
