About Beckett Springs
Beckett Springs is a mental health and substance use disorder treatment hospital for adults and senior adults in West Chester, Ohio. Children and adolescents are seen primarily for mental and behavioral health. Depending on the severity of your addiction, you’ll either live at the center for treatment or live at home and come in for sessions.
You’ll detox under the supervision of medical staff. They’ll do a complete medical check up. As your detox progresses, they’ll keep checking your symptoms and give you medication when needed. When you are stable, you can take part in therapy sessions.
Your recovery plan is based on your physical, social and emotional needs. You’ll have solo sessions with a counselor. Group therapy will be an important part of your healing process. They’ll coordinate your medications, particularly if you take mental health and addiction medication. Once your treatment is complete, you can join their aftercare support groups.
If you’re a first responder, healthcare worker, active duty or retired military personnel experiencing addiction or mental health challenges, you can join the Help for Heroes program. As you’re faced with trauma, stress, and life threatening situations daily, you’ll be treated from a trauma informed perspective. They focus on post traumatic stress disorder and offer addiction medication to help you stabilize physically.
People have had mixed experiences here. Some say they were treated with care and found the staff kind and helpful. Others felt the facility places too much emphasis on medication, and their fees were too high. Still, many report that after leaving treatment here, they’ve stayed sober.
