About Asian Counseling and Referral Service

Located in Seattle, Washington, Asian Counseling and Referral Services provides the community with a range of services for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. These multilingual and multicultural programs include addiction treatment, mental health support, and immigration and citizenship assistance. They address disparities for people with substance use disorders and mental health disorders through a culturally competent continuum of care.

Asian Counseling and Referral Service provides linguistically accessible outreach, recovery support, and treatment services. All programs use a holistic approach and are in an outpatient or intensive outpatient setting. Adult substance use disorder treatment includes individual, group, and family counseling.

Treatment also includes drug and alcohol assessments, peer driven sober support groups, and sober recreational activities. Specialized groups exist for women and for people with co-occurring mental health issues. This facility also has an Alcohol and Drug Information School.

Youth and adult mental health programs address the social and emotional issues of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Mental health support includes case management and crisis response management. You can also obtain psychiatric evaluation and medication management while receiving mental health help.

One awesome thing to note about this organization is that they have traditional Asian approaches to wellness including acupuncture, acupressure, and herbal medicines. A problem gambling treatment program can help you recover through education and counseling.

People who’ve received support services at ACRS say that it’s an amazing facility that does a lot to support immigrants. Others say the doctors are amazing and help them work through their mental health issues.
