About ARC Community Services Center for Women and Children
Located in Madison, Wisconsin, ARC Community Services Center for Women and Children provides outpatient addiction treatment and mental health support for women. They offer an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a specialized program for opioid use disorder and group counseling. A day treatment program is available for women who may be pregnant or have children. Trauma informed treatment for survivors of prostitution and human trafficking is also a part of the programming here.
The goal of treatment programs at ARC is to help women reclaim their lives, gain awareness and self worth and make lasting changes. The Health Beginnings program serves women aged 18 and older with children who are one year old or younger. This is a free program paid for by a grant for women without insurance. It’s a day treatment program during weekdays. For women who do not need the intensity of the day treatment program, an intensive outpatient program is available. The IOP operates three evenings per week and can meet your needs if you work or attend school during the day. A weekly substance abuse support group is another resource for you when you’re finished with more intensive treatment. Meeting in person or virtually with your individual therapist can be a part of your comprehensive treatment plan.
The Hope Project is an integrated opioid addiction treatment program. This program addresses mind, body and spirit and is culturally competent. Using group and individual counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and peer support, you’ll be able to heal from addiction in a safe environment. Medications like buprenorphine, methadone and Suboxone are used to treat physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms.
