About ADHD Testing Seattle ABHC – Closed
Associated Behavioral Health Care (ABHC) West Seattle is now closed. They were an outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facility that helped young adults, adults, and seniors overcome addiction in Seattle, Washington.
This facility worked with people on an individual level to help them understand the triggers that led to addiction and how to retrain their brains to navigate everyday life without turning to substances.
This ABHC location was in West Seattle. This is a popular part of town with countless natural attractions including Alki Beach which offers panoramic views of Seattle’s skyline. You can also enjoy Lincoln Park. It’s a nearby green space known for waterfront access, wooded trails, and picnic areas.
Detox Support
Getting sober is a crucial step, but if you’re SUD is more serious, stopping cold turkey can be hard and even potentially dangerous. ABHC understood this and offered a medication assisted treatment (MAT) program that provided supervised detox treatment to control withdrawal symptoms. I think it’s great that you can access outpatient SUD care while participating in the MAT program.
Graduated Outpatient Care
A key feature of the ABHC SUD treatment program were the options for care. For people who are newly sober or have just begun their detox journey, there was an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that met more frequently each week, but still allowed for flexibility to return home in the evenings.
Meanwhile, individuals with less severe addiction or who have already graduated from an IOP could participate in the standard outpatient program which included less frequent weekly meetings.
I found that all programs provided ample counseling that included individual, group, and couples or family therapy sessions. Likewise, you had access to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma related counseling and could even access sessions via telemedicine if necessary. It’s important to note that you could also access gambling addiction care here.
ABHC accepted private insurance, Medicare, state funded plans, and Tricare.
