About A Peace of Mind Sober Living Men
A Peace of Mind Sober Living offers transitional housing for recovering addicts. They had a men’s and women’s residence in San Bernardino, California. These recovery houses were clean, safe, and in a residential neighborhood. However, the sober living home for men has since closed.
Clients came into these homes from detox, a residential treatment facility, or if they were on probation or parole. Each home was a welcoming setting where residents found compassion and a structured, sober living with their peers.
The men’s home was a 4000-square foot residency that had 10 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Two of the bathrooms were private en-suite bathrooms. It had central air and heating, coin-operated washer and dryer for laundry, and included WIFI, cable TV and long-distance calling. It was close to coffee shops, pharmacies and stores.
To be eligible, you had to pay the monthly rent and attend five support meetings a week if you weren’t attending school or working. These could be AA, NA, or CA. If you were working or in school, you needed to attend 3 meetings a week.
Residents submitted to weekly drug testing. They also provided referrals and, if you need it, could set you up with a certified recovery coach to mentor you. I like that they offered job placement so that you could begin working to get back on your feet.
Even though the San Bernardino site is closed, A Peace of Mind still has sober living homes in Riverside that can be of assistance.
