About Woodview Psychology Group

Woodview Psychology Group Indianapolis is a mental health clinic located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their team of licensed clinicians provide intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) to adolescents, children and adults who are struggling with mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

What I find unique is how they incorporate holistic approaches like art and yoga with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and biofeedback. They offer six-week programs, with various treatment sessions three days per week for adolescents and weekly sessions for parents.

Art therapy gives you the opportunity to cope, process, and express yourself creatively. Yoga therapy provides relaxation and helps with managing pain that you may be experiencing on your journey of recovery.

Their DBT includes specialized treatments such as radically open dialectical behavior therapy, DBT for PTSD, and DBT for children. These treatments can target specific thoughts and behaviors in both children and adults, including struggles such as extreme emotions, tantrums, substance abuse, eating disorders, and anxiety. Their biofeedback techniques track physical reactions in your body to help you learn how to regulate reactions and better manage anxiety and stress.

Because chemical dependency affects the entire family dynamic, they offer online support groups for both parents and children. This treatment helps participants learn to regulate emotions and develop healthier techniques to use instead of re-engaging in impulsive behaviors. The children’s classes are divided between age groups, with one for children six to eight years of age and the other for ages nine to 12.

An advantage Woodview offers is flexibility in treatment. They offer telehealth options, which allows you to receive treatment in the privacy of your own home. You’ll also be able to customize your weekly schedule and have the flexibility to put your recovery first while still meeting other obligations.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Rehab

Indiana outpatient rehab focuses on providing tools necessary to stay sober. This involves several weekly counseling sessions and involvement in at least one support group, such as NA or AA, for several weeks or months. During that time, you’ll learn how to replace unhealthy habits with healthy ones and prevent relapse.

Dual Diagnosis & Mental Health

Dual diagnosis in Indiana treats co-occurring disorders, meaning it addresses both your mental health and recovery needs. A multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and addiction experts work together to ensure all aspects of your mental and physical health are treated.
