About Western Carolina Rescue Ministries
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries provides free residential addiction treatment for men and women in Asheville, North Carolina. The ministry is motivated by the teachings of Jesus Christ but serves anyone regardless of their beliefs. They seek to provide you with rescue, recovery and restoration.
The men’s substance abuse recovery program is about nine months in length. It’s a residential drug and alcohol program. You will participate in their intense life training course. The course will essentially teach you how to turn from addiction and gain the necessary support and resources to build a new life.
During your stay, you will engage in plenty of activities. You will be able to attend church services both off and on campus. You’ll attend prayer sessions, discipleship, Bible studies and spiritual counseling. Their goal is to have you fall in love with Jesus, find meaningful employment, restore family relationships and become a sober and healthy Christ centered individual.
The women’s substance abuse recovery program offers six months of residential living with the option of an additional six months in transitional stay. Mothers will be equipped with the necessary tools to maintain a life that is free from substance abuse. Abba’s House was created to help mothers and their families obtain recovery from addiction.
They have 14 mommy and baby rooms. The program provides a guided and structured living environment. You will learn how to cook, learn nutritional education, learn how to budget, and develop financial planning and homemaking skills. Their goal is to help you gain skills such as coping skills and motherhood skills as well as discover your identity, strengthen your faith and initiate long term goals.
