About Waypoint Recovery Center Outpatient Treatment
Clients dealing with substance use disorders are sure to benefit from the structure and support of the Intensive Outpatient Program of Waypoint Recovery Center. Much of the program is delivered in group sessions to build a culture of accountability and serve as motivation to continue sobriety not only on behalf of yourself but for the whole group. The outpatient clinic of Waypoint Recovery Center is in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Waypoint Recovery offers a variety of groups including process groups to share experiences, concerns, and struggles, skill-building groups to learn coping skills, and trauma groups to help you understand the relationship to past trauma and addiction.
Psychoeducational groups are also provided with topics including, but not limited to addiction and disease education, relapse triggers, how to manage cravings, anger management, managing emotions, and living healthy and sober.
When you’ve completed the intensive outpatient program, you’ll continue to receive support from the Continuing Care/Recovery Management program. With a focus on relapse prevention and skill building, you’ll receive regular check-ins from your care team, attend regular support groups, and connect with others in recovery through the alumni network. Continuing Care also provides ongoing education about relapse triggers and healthy coping strategies to increase independence.
