About Warwick Manor Behavioral Health

Based on Maryland’s picturesque eastern shore on the peaceful Choptank riverbank, Warwick Manor Behavioral Health is a drug rehab and detox center that provides addiction treatment services to adult residents of the State of Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, and parts of Virginia. They also provide support for individuals with concurrent mental health conditions. For many former clients, its natural, secluded location provides an ideal place for reflection and new beginnings.

Their levels of care include medically supported detox, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and medically monitored inpatient. Their 68-bed facility has onsite nurses and medical staff on hand 24/7 to support and monitor clients.

Their public health approach aims to reduce risk factors using a short-term community model to encourage structure, active participation, and accountability within a supervised sober environment. Their program combines key elements from various evidence-based treatment models designed to treat Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and associated conditions.

Elements of treatment vary, but may include psychiatric evaluations, recovery skills and addiction education, relapse prevention support groups, trauma-informed therapy, as well as guided imagery, and art therapy.

Warwick Manor accepts referrals. In terms of payment, they accept most commercial insurance plans, including Maryland and Delaware Medicaid. Self-pay options are also available, along with sliding-scale payment options to eligible individuals who apply.

Based on their many reviews, a lot of former clients praise the facility’s addiction education and their knowledgeable, dedicated, and supportive staff. Sheltered smoking areas are also provided, a feature many individuals appreciate. While it has been noted in some reviews that the facility had issues with bed bugs, it seems this has since been taken into account, with staff taking extra care with hygiene precautions to prevent this going forward.
