About Valley Oaks Health Delphi
Valley Oaks Health provides the residents of Carroll County with mental health and addiction care in rural Delphi, Indiana. While they provide an array of services, their substance use treatment program is for adults that are 18 years of age and older. To help pay for treatment, they provide a sliding fee scale that is based on the size of your household and income.
Their substance abuse treatment program provided a comprehensive approach with care that is customized based on your needs. They have two different therapy groups that you will be able to participate in. The groups are addiction group counseling and relapse prevention therapy group.
If needed, they do offer medication assisted treatment (MAT). MAT is a set of medications that have been approved by the FDA to reduce your withdrawal symptoms and ease your cravings. They do combine this service with therapy that is clinically informed. The goal of the medications is to also improve survival rates and decrease drug use and criminal activity for those with a substance use disorder. If you’re pregnant, these medications will be safe and will also help improve the birthing outcome.
Valley Enterprises is their employment service program. This program stood out to me because it helps those with a substance use disorder and mental health issues obtain and maintain employment. The staff will be able to help you with your resume and application process. You’ll also receive help in preparing for your interview. If you do have a criminal background record, they will help you find potential employers. When needed, they’ll work with local employers to create non-traditional jobs.
The local environment is pretty open, with plenty of greenspaces to unwind and clear your mind. The Monon High Bridge Trail is close by, as is Abby & Libby Memorial Park and Wabash & Erie Canal Park.
