About Volunteers of America Northern Rockies Sheridan
Located in the Northern Rockies in Sheridan, Wyoming, Volunteers of America Northern Rockies Sheridan provides individuals with substance abuse and dual diagnosis mental health treatment. They also have a Native American cultural component to enhance diversity and offer more options for the surrounding community. This faith based organization follows the 12 Step principles, and as part of the program you’ll be required to attend meetings. However, religious affiliations are not mandatory. They do encourage relying on a spiritual component to help achieve sobriety.
Their residential program lasts approximately 70 to 90 days, but the specific length of stay will depend on your treatment goals. When you begin treatment, you’ll have a comprehensive assessment to determine your best level of care. They offer social detox, residential care and outpatient programs. There are gender specific services available, and while in treatment you can expect to attend 12 Step meetings and various therapy sessions. These may include solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
As part of your recovery program, you’ll have access to corrective thinking treatment, strengths based counseling techniques and acceptance and commitment therapy. The goal is to offer you a path to recovery that includes recreational, therapeutic and community based methods that provide a full continuum of care.
