About VOA – Booth Hall

Gillette, Wyoming, is home to the Volunteers of American Northern Rockies Booth Hall. This is an adult community corrections program that collaborates with several local agencies. Each participant receives a personalized reintegration plan with drug rehab sessions, financial assistance for bills, job training and parenting courses.

Volunteers of America is a spiritual-based organization. They have ministers from a variety of Christian faith traditions involved.

Educational And Recreational Opportunities For Reentry

Volunteers of America offers residential, non-residential and aftercare programs for adults who are reintegrating into the community after incarceration. This facility can accommodate 128 men and 16 women. According to their website, 76 percent of participants in this reentry program are successful, experience no new arrests and are employed within one year of completing the program.

I like that they have various amenities like computers, reading rooms, a library and weight rooms. In addition to drug treatment, you’ll have access to in-house AA and NA meetings, parenting courses and case management.

Compassion, Respect, And Commitment To Service

Programming is guided by the Volunteers of America values including service, compassion and respect. There may be faith-based elements to some sessions, but participation is optional and designed to be welcoming for all. If needed, you’ll have access to GED courses and college level courses.

To incorporate peaceful outdoor activities into your treatment program, I noticed you can visit nearby parks including Dalbey Memorial Park. Some programs offer Christian enhancement tracks where trained ministry volunteers lead bible studies. Topics for bible study could range from creation, sin, salvation, and life in the Christian community.
