About Vinland National Center

Located in Loretto, Minnesota, the Vinland National Center is a fully integrated behavioral healthcare facility. Offering inpatient mental healthcare to individuals with cognitive impairments. The Vinland National Center has been in operation since 1990, providing drug and alcohol rehab to those with cognitive impairments and traumatic brain injuries. Its integrated model of care seeks to provide individualized care that meets the unique needs of those with mental health challenges, injuries, and developmental disabilities.

Employing a team of clinicians to fit those needs is something the Vinland Center can do, with highly trained and licensed progressions who conduct a mental health assessment and devise an individualized treatment plan to help patients succeed in recovery. Plans usually last 45 to 90 days and possible interventions include individual and group therapy, family counseling, recovery based meetings, skill development, education, medication management, occupational therapy, mindfulness, music therapy, adaptive yoga, and peer support. Amenities include a private location overlooking Lake Independence, 24 hour care, gendered programs, a fitness center, walking trails, gardens, and a basketball court.

Vinland National Center Treatment Center is licensed by the state of Minnesota to provide mental health treatment and accredited by the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers. Medicare, Medicaid, military insurance, private pay, sliding scale, and commercial insurance plans are accepted. Financial aid and state funding may also be available.
