About Victory Home

Victory Home, located in Clarkesville, Georgia, provides Christian faith-based addiction treatment to men. Since their founding in 1959, Victory Home has served over 10,000 clients. They have a residential program, a transitional program and an alumni group that furnishes ongoing support. Counseling services are administered by licensed and certified counselors and therapists.

Victory Home charges a monthly fee to men in the program. I think it’s fantastic that they also have full and partial scholarships available thanks to the help of donors. Plus, they hold a free consultation with each applicant where you can ask questions about finances and other information.

Residential Treatment for Men in Clarkesville

The residential program lasts six months and includes individual, group and family counseling, education and work therapy. Residents live on the 38-acre campus and also visit local churches.

Chapel services are part of residents’ daily routine. There is also a focus on family therapy so men can repair broken relationships and loved ones can find healing. Residents have access to a phone and gradually earn visitation and other privileges.

Transitional Program and Alumni Support

Once the initial program ends, men can move into the transition program, which includes ongoing individual, group and family therapy. Each resident gets a job outside the facility and practices life skills learned in the program.

Residents are also linked to recovery support groups and churches in the community to attend regularly. I think it’s helpful that this program gradually transitions men to reintegrate in the community. The program lasts around six months, and afterwards, men can continue to stay connected to Victory Home through the alumni program.
